CLARUS VINUM

Founder Story

Clarus Vinum was born from Marcela Champion’s belief that Moravia, one of Europe’s most overlooked wine regions, deserves to be discovered by the world.

Marcela grew up in former Czechoslovakia, in South Moravia, where vineyards were part of everyday life. Her parents and grandparents worked the land, carrying forward a culture shaped by wine, family, folklore, harvests, and village celebrations.

As a child, she spent time among the vines. As a teenager, she did not always love it. She often found herself in the vineyard, wondering why this work had to be part of her life. Only later did that feeling change. What once felt like obligation became gratitude. Today, when Marcela returns to the vineyards, she sees it as a privilege to stand on the same soil where her family worked before her.

That connection to land, family, and tradition became the emotional foundation of Clarus Vinum.

Her love for Moravian folklore also lives at the heart of the brand. The music, costumes, village cellars, harvest traditions, and respect for wine are part of Moravia's soul. For Marcela, wine has never been only a drink. It is memory, belonging, craftsmanship, celebration, and a story passed from one generation to the next.

After the fall of communism, Marcela was able to look beyond the Iron Curtain. She studied and worked across Europe, then built an international life in the United States. Her marketing career taught her how to bring cultural stories to a larger stage.

But no matter how far she traveled, Moravia stayed with her.

She saw a region with extraordinary wines, skilled winemakers, and centuries of tradition. She saw a new consumer emerging: sophisticated, health conscious, and unwilling to compromise on taste, elegance, or celebration.

Clarus Vinum was created for that moment.

At the heart of the brand is a demanding promise: even without alcohol, the wine must keep its identity. The real challenge is preserving the soul of the wine, its aroma, texture, freshness, elegance, and sense of origin.

Through gentle low temperature dealcoholization and Natur CO₂ Wine Gas technology, Clarus Vinum captures natural CO₂ from wine fermentation and reintroduces it to create elegant bubbles. The result is a refined 0.0% sparkling rosé that brings fermentation born bubbles into an alcohol free experience.

Marcela sees Clarus Vinum as a new expression of sparkling wine, where Moravian heritage, modern science, sustainability, and luxury come together.

Her mission is to bring Moravian sparkling wine to the global stage and show that mindful celebration can still feel beautiful, authentic, and alive.

From Moravia to tables around the world, Marcela Champion is building Clarus Vinum with one purpose: to let the world discover Moravia, one glass at a time.
